Our story this week is "Tanya's Reunion" on pages 602- 611.  Students have a list of vocabulary words and meanings.  We will read in class and discuss.  Students will complete study guide in class.  Test will be Friday.

Reminders

Due to the baseball tournament, school will dismiss at 11:50 Friday, March 13.

Start saving plastic bottles for the Recycling Contest.  Troy's Clean and Green Week is April 13-17. 
The class that collects the most wins a party.

Please read your AR books.  We have a few that have not met their goal.  March 13 is the last day.

Yearbooks are on sale through this week.  Price is $50.00.

Language/Spelling 6 A&B

Spelling- No spelling test this week.

Language-  Identify predicate adjectives as a complement.  Label parts of speech in sentences.
                   Skills practice for SAT.

Language/Spelling 5 A&B

Spelling words- zero, zeros, trio, trios, hero, heroes, echo, echoes, potato, potatoes, halo, halos, radios, buffalo, buffaloes, colonies, taxes, themselves, clothes, speeches

Test will be Thursday due to the field trip on Friday.

Language - Identify singular, singular possessive, plural, and plural possessive forms of nouns.
                   Correct use of colons, semicolons, hyphens, and underlining of titles.

Reminders

The field trip to the performance of "Frozen" is Friday, March 6.  We plan to leave around 9:30 and return to school around 2:30.  We will eat lunch in Dothan, so you will need to send extra money with your child. Students need to dress nicely.

This week is "Read Across America".  The Fifth Grade students may participate in the dress themes for each day. Monday-Favorite Dr. Seuss character; Tuesday- Silly socks; Wednesday- Tacky clothing within dress code; Thursday- Grinchiest  Green Day wear green; Friday - Red and White Day(Cat in the Hat).  Students may also participate in a poster contest about your favorite Dr. Seuss book. Posters must be turned in by 9:00 Thursday.

Yearbooks are on sale now through March 13.  The cost is $50.  No extras will be ordered.

School will dismiss at 11:50 on Friday, March 13 due to the Jonah McWaters baseball tournament.

The Honor's Assembly for the third nine weeks will be Friday, March 20 at 9:00.

We still have a few students that have not met their AR goal.  March 13 is the last day to reach your goal for this nine weeks.  Please encourage your child to read.

Spring Break will be March 23-27.
